The Camping Hut is located in the middle of the forest and is designed to provide guests with a rustic, yet comfortable experience. This is a place to disconnect and reconnect with nature and your surroundings. A place to unplug and decompress from busy life. About 5 miles from our town of Elk, CA, and a beautiful 14-mile coastal drive to the historic village of Mendocino.

The camping hut is fenced off with a dedicated outdoor area that is for your private use.

*Please discuss the details with us before your stay if you are using this as a photoshoot promoting any lifestyle brand, products, or services. There is no wifi or cell services. In case of an emergency, we have a phone for you to use. :)

*There is NO kitchen for cooking. We supply plates and utensils so you can bring your take-out or snacks and enjoy your meal either indoors or outdoors in solitude. There is a sink so your plates and utensils may be cleaned. Please refrain from putting food scraps and waste down the drain. There is a pour-over coffee maker and teapot so you can prepare hot beverages. We encourage you to enjoy the local restaurants and recognize the hut experience is not a cooking experience due to the many forest animals and insects that it tends to attract.

Important Consideration

• The Redwood Forest Camping Hut is accessed via a forest path from the parking area.

• The space has multiple steps and stairs which may be a problem for some individuals.

• Modern compost toilet. Not a flushing toilet :) Please see the picture for reference.

• NO hairdryer or hair iron, please. The hut can only support minimal electrical usage. Only charge small devices, anything more will cause the power to turn off.

• There is no wifi or cell service. In case of an emergency, we have a phone for you to use. :)
  
  
  We suggest guests arrive before sunset as the forest gets very dark at night. Please bring a torchlight if you will be arriving late or after dark.
